We hope you will want to participate on one or more of our committees, projects and special events. Please take a few minutes to indicate the ways in which you would like to help.

I am interested in participating in the following activities:

  • ______ Special Events: Help plan/organize a special event/author visit or work on specific tasks related to the event.

  • ______ Board of Directors: Serve on the Friends of the Library board of directors.  We meet at least 11 times a year (generally no meeting in August).

  • ______ Publicity:  Prepare press releases for submission to local media, Chamber of Commerce and City calendars, and various websites. This is a voting committee position.

  • ______ Book sales. There are two ways to help:
_____  1) sorting and shelving donated books and
_____  2) working on sales day

  • _____ Bulletin Board: Prepare and maintain the Friends’ bulletin board located inside the Woodland Library and/or the bulletin board located in the Friends' Book Sale room.

  • _____ Newsletter: Be an editor, reporter, and/or photographer for the newsletter (published at least quarterly, but no more than bi-monthly).  This is a voting committee position.

  • _____ Mystery Night: Help with set-up and/or clean-up, food preparation/serving, wine set-up/pouring, silent auction donations, organize volunteers, programs, “crew” for the production, other. It takes many people with different skills and interests to make this event a success.

  • _____ Volunteer Coordinator:  Help us coordinate our volunteers for special events, activities and book sales.  This is a voting committee position.

  • _____ Organizational Support:  Computer work, pick up donations, mailings, other general support tasks, such as telephoning members to provide updates, encourage participation, etc.
